A week ago, former radio presenter Tanasha Donna declared that she does not require any form of child support from Tanzanian singer Diamond Platinumz, the father to her son Naseeb Junior.
The news got to South Africa based Ugandan socialite turned entrepreneur Zari Hassan who through a comment to a fan on Instagram made it known that she too is not motivated by money in seeking Platnumz’s time with their two children.
“Tanasha says she doesn't need support to raise her boy... she is strong enough to do it herself...here they call you queen yet unaomba msaada,” the fan wrote.

That did not settle well with the mother of five who came out to defend herself saying that it is not always about money as it is not the only form of support a father can offer to his children.
“It is a father's responsibility to be in their children's life whether it's a financial obligation or just emotional. He needs to communicate so they can know him. Note the difference. I've never asked my baby father any financial support. I wanted my children to know him. To be in their lives, it’s their birthright. Not everything is always about money,” Zari responded.
Speaking to comedian Felix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o, Tanasha revealed that she is raising Junior by herself.
“I have been doing it all on my own, to be honest, I will be 100% honest with you. I’m very real and am not gonna say something that is not the case, given all the respect I have for him. He is not supporting; am doing it on my own and I don’t need his support, to be honest,” she said.
This came amidst speculations that Zari and Platnumz could be warming up for each other. Claims she sarcastically dismissed after one Instagram user enquired about her relationship.
“So, tell me more. You seem to have details and all figured out,” said Zari.
An exchange that came under a month after she criticized the Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB) boss after he promised to pay rent for over 500 families who have been affected by coronavirus.

According to Zari, the WCB heavyweight was selling a lie and did not know what his children in South Africa were going through.
“But you don’t know what your kids eat, or how they sleep if fees and medical insurance is paid. You will never please the world when your own are not happy and taken care of. You are selling a lie. Some people have become clowns to some of us,” she stated.
